The Sea Bright playground was the first of many built to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook Shooting. The Playground was dedicated to Anne Marie Murphy, a Sandy Hook special-education teacher. At the time Sea Bright New Jersey was one of the worst affected areas during hurricane Sandy in 2012. The project cost just over $2.1 million dollars and helped bring together a community and revitalize the coastline. Currently the playground rests along the coast right off of the boardwalk.
