SEA BRIGHT — Amid the boarded-up and gutted stores that line Ocean Avenue and the mounds of makeshift sand dunes and heavy-construction equipment along the beachfront, a small blue-and-white playground opened Saturday morning.
Nestled alongside a newly constructed patch of boardwalk, the playground replaces the one the borough lost during superstorm Sandy on Oct. 29.
